Follow these simple steps to register or log in:
- Go to www.aetna.com
- Click on the "Login" link.
- Register as a first-time user or enter your user name and password.
Your member website offers health and personal benefits information, self-service features, interactive tools — and much more. When you register, you'll have your own home page that shows your recent claim activity and who is covered under your plan. There's also a direct link to the online provider directory.
With your member website, you can take advantage of:
Self-service features – Request ID cards, print claim forms and make changes to personal information such as e-mail addresses. You can even print temporary ID cards to use while you wait for your permanent card.
Provider search – Look for doctors, pharmacies, dentists and other health care providers that belong to Aetna's network.
Estimate the cost of care – Get the estimated average costs of medical procedures, office visits, tests, diseases and conditions, prescription drugs and dental procedures.
Compare hospitals – Get help with selecting a hospital for a surgical procedure.
Go mobile with the new Aetna Health℠ app – From finding a doctor and comparing costs to paying claims and viewing your ID card, the app is your all-in-one resource for the information you need.
24-hour nurse line
Talk to a registered nurse – Anytime 24/7 at 1-800-556-1555
While the nurses aren't authorized to diagnose or prescribe, they can:
- Answer health-related questions.
- Help you decide whether or not to go to a hospital emergency room.
- Tell you about simple steps you can take to address a health problem until you can get to the doctor.
- Help you understand health issues and treatment choices.
- Give you some good questions to ask your doctor.
- Provide information about the latest research on certain treatments and procedures, and explain their risks and benefits.
The nurses can help you make sense out of your choices and communicate better with your doctor. They'll give you the facts you need to make health care decisions and choices with confidence.
The 24-Hour Nurse Line also includes an audio health library that gives you an easy way to access reliable health information by phone, 24 hours a day. The library contains hundreds of topics in English and Spanish. With the audio library, you can listen privately to information on sensitive health topics. You can be connected from the audio library back to a registered nurse at anytime.

With the online provider directory, you can search for a specific provider, find a specialist* or enter your zip code and the number of miles you're willing to travel to find in-network providers near you.
The online provider directory can help you:
Make informed choices.
The online provider directory gives you easy access to information about providers that is not available in paper directories. This includes information about which plans the provider accepts, medical school attended, board certification status, and gender, as well as information about the provider's offices, such as handicapped access and office hours. Other features include maps, driving directions and listings, where applicable.
Get up-to-date information.
The online provider directory is updated three times per week, giving you access to the latest available information.
Use personalized search features via your member website.
Don't forget to visit the your member website online at www.aetna.com. By registering, you can have a personalized version of the online provider directory, prefilled with your plan name and zip code. And while you are there, you can check on the status of a claim, request ID cards, contact Aetna Member Services and more!

With this service, doctors can use a computer to write your prescription. They can also check for harmful drug problems and suggest safer treatment options.
National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) recognition
This program helps you find doctors who meet NCQA standards of care. NCQA is a non-profit group that works to improve health care quality.
